The Surinamese children need your help!
The Association of Pediatricians Suriname (VKS) has rang the alarm multiple times about child care in Surinamese hospitals.
The current financial situation of the care and support staff weighs heavily on them. An undesirable consequence is that they choose to work abroad with good working conditions. This has major consequences for child care in Suriname.
In anticipation of structural measures from the government for the appreciation of approximately 350 care and support employees in child care, the association has set up the ‘Yes We Care!’ campaign.
The ‘Yes We Care!’ campaign is to give support and appreciation to the nursing care and support staff of the children’s wards in Suriname for 3 months.
With your donation, vouchers will be made available to the care and support staff in child care in the period from April to June, with which they can purchase primary food and fuel for their car or moped.
